Tuesday Tip: To achieve high-level outcomes, set "smart" goals

Updated: Mar 10, 2020

Outcomes are specific, measurable statements that let you know when you have reached your plan objectives. To achieve high-level outcomes, set strong goals to keep you on track. These goals should be specific, measurable, and realistic, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that define the internal goals and objectives that must be achieved in order to deliver the desired business outcomes. These KPIs should be "smart." In other words:

  • S – Specific

  • M – Measurable

  • A – Achievable and Assigned

  • R – Relevant

  • T – Time-based

Setting "smart" goals will allow you to achieve high-level outcomes and will propel your business growth forward. Need some help developing a strategic plan? View our services.
